Day 1: Guwahati Airport to Shillong

Arrive at Guwahati Airport, where you will be met and driven to Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya (approx. 3 hours). Upon arrival in Shillong, check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day exploring the local area. You may visit attractions like Ward’s Lake or the Shillong Peak for panoramic views. Enjoy an evening at leisure in Shillong.

Day 2: Shillong to Cherrapunji

After breakfast, drive to Cherrapunji, known for its lush landscapes and abundant rainfall (approx. 2 hours). Check into your hotel in Cherrapunji and start exploring. Visit the famous Nohkalikai Falls, Mawsmai Cave, and the Seven Sisters Falls. Enjoy the breathtaking views and unique natural formations. Return to your hotel for the night.

Day 3: Cherrapunji to Double Decker Root Bridge

Today, embark on a trek to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge in Nongriat, a village near Cherrapunji (approx. 1.5-2 hours drive plus a trek). The trek involves descending a series of steps and wooden bridges. Explore the unique root bridge, a marvel of natural engineering, and enjoy the surrounding greenery. Return to Cherrapunji in the evening and spend the night at your hotel.

Day 4: Cherrapunji to Mawlynnong

Post-breakfast, head towards Mawlynnong, often referred to as the cleanest village in Asia (approx. 2.5 hours). Explore the village, including the Living Root Bridges and the Sky View, which offers a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. Discover the local lifestyle and traditional bamboo houses. Check into your accommodation in Mawlynnong and enjoy a serene evening.

Day 5: Mawlynnong to Shillong via Kerangsuri

After breakfast, depart from Mawlynnong and travel to Shillong, with a stop at Kerangsuri Falls (approx. 4 hours). Kerangsuri Falls is a picturesque spot, perfect for photography and relaxation. Continue your journey back to Shillong and check into your hotel. Spend the evening exploring more of Shillong or relaxing at your hotel.

Day 6: Shillong to Guwahati

After breakfast, check out from your Shillong hotel and drive back to Guwahati (approx. 3 hours). Upon arrival, you can visit local attractions or shop for souvenirs. Check into your Guwahati hotel and spend the evening at leisure, possibly exploring the local markets or dining at a local restaurant.

Day 7: Departure from Guwahati

On your final day, check out from the hotel and transfer to Guwahati Airport for your departure. Depending on your flight time, you might have some free time to explore any remaining local attractions. Your tour concludes with a transfer to the airport.
