Day 1: Arrival at Guwahati & Transfer to Kaziranga
Day 2: Kaziranga National Park Exploration to Dirang
Start your day early with an exciting jeep safari in the central range of Kaziranga National Park, famous for its population of one-horned rhinoceroses, elephants, and other wildlife. After the safari, return to your hotel for breakfast. Post breakfast, you will check out and begin your journey to Dirang, a beautiful town set amidst the hills (around 7 hours drive). En route, you can visit the Tipi Orchidarium in Bhalukpong. Arrive in Dirang by late afternoon, check in to your hotel, and enjoy the serene environment
Day 3: Dirang to Tawang
After breakfast, leave for Tawang, a drive of around 5-6 hours. The route offers breathtaking views, including a stop at the Sela Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world at 13,700 feet, often covered in snow, and the stunning Sela Lake. You’ll also visit Jaswant Garh War Memorial, dedicated to the bravery of soldiers in the 1962 Indo-China War, and the mesmerizing Nuranang Falls. Arrive in Tawang by evening, check into your hotel, and relax.
Day 4: Tawang Exploration (Bum La Pass & Madhuri Lake)
Today, after breakfast, you’ll embark on an excursion to Bum La Pass, located on the Indo-China border, offering stunning views and a sense of historical significance (permits required). Following this, visit Sangestar Tso, also known as Madhuri Lake, a pristine high-altitude lake surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Return to Tawang in the evening, and if time permits, explore the local market or relax at your hotel.
Day 5: Tawang to Bomdila
After breakfast, depart from Tawang and drive towards Bomdila, a journey of about 5-6 hours. En route, you can take in the beautiful landscape and stop at some of the scenic spots for photography or short walks. Arrive in Bomdila by afternoon, check into your hotel, and visit the Bomdila Monastery or the local market. Spend the evening at leisure, enjoying the peaceful ambiance of this hill station.
Day 6: Bomdila to Guwahati
Begin the day with breakfast before starting the drive back to Guwahati, which will take approximately 8-9 hours. The drive offers a mix of scenic landscapes, winding roads, and small villages along the way. Upon arrival in Guwahati, check into your hotel for the night. The evening is free for you to explore the city or relax after a long day of travel.
Day 7: Guwahati Airport Drop
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and enjoy some last-minute shopping or sightseeing in Guwahati, such as a visit to the famous Kamakhya Temple if time permits. Later, you will be dropped off at the Guwahati Airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your tour.
